Job Description	Viz, a business of General Dynamics C4 Systems, located in Scottsdale, Ariz. creates graphical user interface software solutions based on information visualization, interactive data exploration and real-time collaboration. We leverage our expertise in information visualization and information architecture with our Software Development Toolkit, CoMotion®. CoMotion-based applications let people analyze and share data as well as thoughts about that data, with other people in real-time. Well-informed group decisions are made quickly across technical, organizational and geographic boundaries without travel costs or changes to existing information systems. Works as an individual creative contributor, providing big picture Human-Centered design direction for projects, including the vision for the user experience and component interaction, as well as documentation, training, and general communication — both internal and external. Research and integrate design strategies, product specifications, and user expectations into product capabilities. Develop and leverage user personas and operational scenarios to test and validate designs. Provide design leadership to more junior designers. Interact with customers, vendors, and external development partners. Distill complex problems into their atomic elements, and then re-build them into meaningful, and accessible software solutions. Easily move between developing independent designs and prticipating in group brainstorming and problem solving exercises. Manage and exceed expectations. Communicate the aggregate vision of one or more projects at any time. Provide accessible, proactive, and communicative design support to multiple development efforts BS Degree in interaction design, communication design, or similar. 5+ years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree recommended. Develops concepts and solutions with little oversight. Applies existing technology when solving problems and developing solutions. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of experience design, information architecture, human science, and/or visual interaction design. Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a U.S. security clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen.
