Job Description General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is positioned to provide solutions for global satellite and wireless communications requirements. • Coordinate all activities associated with the successful transfer of electronic circuit card assemblies into the State College Facility
• Plan, coordinate, facilitate and lead continuous improvement lean events
• Interface between manufacturing and engineering to resolve questions/problems
• Assist Engineering with DFx (Design for Lean, Design for Test, etc)
• Analyze, troubleshoot and identify root cause failure analysis on identified systems. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures
• Review new drawings and revised drawings for process implementation
• Work with assemblers and technicians to resolve assembly problems
• Liaison with contract manufacturers for process readiness and on going issue resolution
• Drive cost reduction by value engineering current processes
• Develop, improve and/or keep up-to-date process procedures
• Design test fixtures
• Develop assembly methods
• Develop documentation requirements (e.g. Acceptance Test Procedures, etc)
• Lead various manufacturing projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.



5+ years experience in electronics manufacturing with project management experience.

Knowledge of circuit assembly processes such as but not limited to: wave soldering, selective soldering, reflow soldering, pick-and-place, screen printing, dispensing, BGA X-ray, AOI, etc.)
• Trained to IPC-A-610
• Familiar with J-STD-001
• Strong Project Tracking skills
• Strong Customer interface skills
• Supplier evaluation experience
• Strong technical and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with Six Sigma
• Familiarity with GC-Place
• Familiarity with AutoCAD

Must be able to travel 20% of the time.

Applicant must be a US Citizen.

Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
