Job Description	General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is positioned to provide solutions for global satellite and wireless communications requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities: •Under the direction of the Senior Network Engineer, implement and support local and wide area networking technologies at multiple domestic and international locations. •Develop and maintain detailed documentation including topology diagrams, configuration versioning, design documentation, warrantee and support information, change management documentation and disaster recovery data. •Interact effectively with business users, vendors, and other IT staff to support business objectives and ensure system stability and reliability. •Log monitoring and response. •Support and troubleshooting with remote users and IT staff via phone and remote access. •Develop and maintain detailed technical knowledge of the specifications, operation and maintenance of the local and enterprise network environments, while maintaining familiarity with competing products and emerging technologies. Minimum Requirements: •Associate degree and minimum 3 years experience in a network administrator/engineer position. •Cisco, and/or other relevant industry certifications. •Prior experience with Cisco switches/routers/firewalls •Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, Wireless technologies, DNS, •Good written and verbal communication skills, good listening and presentation skills. •Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member. •Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills. •Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams. •Ability to perform tasks with moderate supervision. Additionally, qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate basic understanding of the following: •Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP/2003, Active Directory, e-mail, MS-SQL, .web servers, scripting, VPNs and encryption protocols. •Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, MS Visio and basic application and computer security principles. •Some experience with project management and resource tracking. •Basic knowledge of software and/or hardware, testing and implementation. •Demonstrate ability to implement, drive and track projects •Ability to apply technical products and solutions to business scenarios. Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
