Job Description	General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is positioned to provide solutions for global satellite and wireless communications requirements. Our VertexRSI, Gabriel and Prodelin brands are the market leaders for base station and earth station communications products and services, VSAT antennas and antenna systems, and wireless backhaul products. We offer an exciting range of new communications products and services backed by the same high quality and expertise you've come to rely on. We have an immediate opening for an Operations Manager. 1. Participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all subordinate department activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives. 2. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives. 3. Confers with Division GM to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions. 4. Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning including sales, financial performance and new product development. 5. Oversees manufacturing and purchasing departments to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth. 6. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. 7. Reviews and supports Engineering to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth. 8. Reviews and supports Sales to oversee pricing, determination of “No-bids” and profitability of quotes. 9. Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets. 10. Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis; for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning and submittal for capital expenditures. 11. Maintains an extremely high level of operating knowledge of our ERP system. 12. Champions continuous improvement. US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status is required as well as the ability to obtain a security clearance. Bachelor's degree in related field. 8+years work experience and 5+ years supervisory experience preferred. We offer a competitive benefit package. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
