Will be expected to perform formalized classroom and/or field training to military user personnel on basic and advanced networking theory, management, planning of computer routed networks, hardware installation, initialization, hardware/ software configuration and operation, interconnectivity, analyzing network trends troubleshooting network problems, basic level maintenance, and system & communication’s network recovery procedures. Will be required to transport, install & interconnect classroom equipment/aides, and perform administrative functions consistent with instructing/ course administration. May also update or develop course training documents and aides.
Minimum of an AS or equivalent degree in combined education and related experience. 7 years experience in curriculum development, technical instruction or technical position working on complex systems, networks, hardware and software applications.Minimum 7 years experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of analog and digital computer based systems. Knowledge and experience with military V/LAN & WAN is required. Experience and knowledge of SNMPc, Solarwinds, NX-1000, REDCOM Slice, TacHub, Vantage, Ethernet switches, CISCO and Juniper routers, Call Manager, VoIP, TACLANE, GPS, TRC-170, 190v3, TSC-85,93,154,156A is preferred. Cisco certified training is advantages. Know how to use MS Office products is required. Candidate must be physically able to lift a minimum 50 lb. weight without restrictions. A valid driver’s license is required. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required. Good human interaction skills, personal initiative, and work ethics is required. Must be in good credit standing and able to obtain a corporate credit card for travel or job related expenses. Short term US and international travel is involved and can occasionally exceed sixty days. Must be capable of obtaining a US DoD Security Clearance. Minimum 7 years experience using computer based communications systems and possess substantial knowledge on planning for, analyzing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of deployed routed/circuit switched networks via varying tactical transmission modes . An institutionally trained educator or certified instructor is preferred.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
