The candidate will be assigned as an instructor/developer on the Regional Hub Node (RHN) program. He/she will be responsible for research, development and presentation of modularized Operator/Maintainer training for the baseband portion of the RHN using conference, hands-on practical exercises, and demonstration techniques in accordance with ARMY and TRADOC standards. The majority of the course development work will be performed at General Dynamics’ facility in Taunton, MA. He/She must be able to develop training materials and documentation that are functional, intuitive, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design and adult learning principles. He/She must be organized and effective when working independently. He/She must also collaborate with General Dynamics’ management teams, other instructional designers/trainers, subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, technical writers, and customers. Should have attended a military or civilian Instructional Training course and/or have significant experience training military students. Minimum of Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required. Cisco certifications: CCNA (higher certifications are preferred). Working knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) and networking equipment such as routers, multiplexers, tactical and commercial switches, network servers, and Microsoft products such as MS Exchange are a plus. In addition, the candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of training experience, 3 of which must be in curriculum development. Experience desired with Army tactical switching systems such as Joint Network Node (JNN), Baseband Node (BBN) or Single Shelter Switch (SSS)(V3). The candidate for this position should have successfully completed an approved instructor training course. Position Requires 50-70% travel. Must be able to travel and have a good credit history to obtain a company sponsored credit card for travel expenses. Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required. Applicant must be able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position.
