General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is positioned to provide solutions for global satellite and wireless communications requirements. Our VertexRSI, Gabriel and Prodelin brands are the market leaders for base station and earth station communications products and services, VSAT antennas and antenna systems, and wireless backhaul products. Performs assembly, integration, and test of satellite communications systems, products, racks, assemblies, and shelters during production and in-plant assembly/integration phase of a project. Preparation and inspection of systems for shipment. Requires ability to specify and source required materials and components. Will develop, evaluate, and revise procedures as required. Occasional travel to customers' locations may be required to complete integration and testing.
• Vocational or Associate Degree
• 5 yrs satellite communications industry or field-related experience
• Fully proficient in the use of tools and test equipment required to perform job duties (coax crimp tools, multi-conductor connector installation tools, RF Spectrum Analyzers, BER Test Set, power meters and sensors, signal sources, sweep equipment, video instruments, etc.)
• Self-starter, proactive, seeks ways to reduce costs and improve production
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
