General Dynamics C4 Systems' Battle Management Systems Division designs, develops, and integrates highly sophisticated command, control, and communications systems for the U.S. military, federal agencies, civil governments and related international customers. These state-of-the-art, integrated systems combine advanced visualization software and multi-sensor inputs to provide near real-time situational awareness to tactical decision makers. Our engineers help transform large amounts of complex data into useful information that is clearly and intuitively presented to end users, enabling them to make better-informed decisions. We design and develop systems and software for a wide range of global missions including: battle command; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; airspace management; crisis and emergency management; peace keeping and contingency operations; drug intervention, and public safety.
Highly motivated Geospatial Imagery (IMINT) Analyst. Responsible for analyzing aerial and ground permanent record imagery developed by photographic and electronic means. Duties as an IMINT analyst may include: studying aerial photographs and tagging, storing and archiving the media; in order to obtain information from imagery; obtaining intelligence by studying and analyzing imagery products; determining target coordinates for accurate location of imagery analysis findings; analyzing installations and lines of communications, and studying land and sea areas that could become battlegrounds in time of war. The IMINT Analyst is responsible for maintaining and updating a large collection of worldwide imagery from various sources and formats to ensure that imagery used in the field is the most up-to-date and highest quality.
Responsibilities:
o Review imagery products for accuracy and coverage, identify deficiencies or gaps in coverage, and request appropriate agencies such as NGA for updates.
o Maintain the reference imagery library and coordinate with field engineers to ensure that imagery updates are distributed throughout the production network.
o Work with developers in improving mapping features for end users and customers
o Able to measure tie and control points, run triangulation, process orthos and orthomosaics with COTS software and review the final products for accuracy and quality.
o Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, helps identify workflow inefficiencies and problems that can arise and helps develop workarounds.
o Writes procedures, methods, workflow documents and standard operating procedures.
o Knowledge of Photogrammetric and Image Processing software including PCI, SocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, MapInfo, ArcInfo and other image processing tools.
o The candidate will communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to exercise attention to detail and follow oral and written instructions.
o Good understanding of digital ortho and orthomosaic production.
o Understanding of photogrammetric principles and image radiometry.
o Knowledge of terrain data, such as DEM.
o Demonstrated Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
Requirements:
o 1 to 3 years professional experience in Photogrammetry or Remote Sensing.
o A Bachelors Degree in Photogrammetry, Geodesy, Geographic Information Science (GIS) or related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience. ASPRS Certification desired.
o Must possess or have the ability to acquire a U.S. Secret clearance.
o Must be a U.S. citizen.
o Must be willing to travel CONUS between GDC4S site locations.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
