Job Description	General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is positioned to provide solutions for global satellite and wireless communications requirements. This position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspection. Will be responsible for inspections utilizing precision inspection equipment and surface plate set-ups with a Micro-Hite, dial indicators, etc. for all government and commercials projects. Performs inspections, checks and tests for quality control. Must be familiar with all concepts, practices and procedures within the field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. The following duties, though not all-inclusive, characterize the duties of this position: • Responsible for the inspection of in-process production and LRIP assemblies. • Performs final product acceptance. In order to be qualified for this position, you: • Must be able to read and interpret engineering documents in accordance with ASME Y14.5M. • Must have experience working in an ISO 9001 environment. • Must have basic knowledge of welding • Must have basic knowledge of FOD requirements. • Must be able to communicate clearly with customer and supplier representatives and all levels of management. • Prior experience or certification in high reliability 9ANSI J-STD-001 & IPC-A-610) soldering, and/or electromechanical test is desirable. • High School diploma or equivalent • ESD training and certifications are preferred. The working condition for this position are as follows: • Performed in an office, warehouse and production environment • Requires normal safety precautions. • May require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. • Position will be 40 hours per week with some overtime as needed. • Possible Hard Hat: sites may be required. • Occasional overnight travel may be required as well as some local travel.
