In the role of Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector II, you will need 2 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspection. Will be responsible for inspections utilizing standard inspection equipment and surface plate set-ups with a Micro-Hite, dial indicators, etc. for all government and commercials projects. Performs inspections, checks and tests for quality control. Must be familiar with all concepts, practices and procedures within the field. Works under general supervision. The following duties, though not all-inclusive, characterize the duties of this position: • Responsible for the inspection of in-process production and LRIP assemblies. • Performs final product acceptance. In order to be qualified for this position, you: • Must be able to read and interpret engineering documents in accordance with ASME Y14.5M. • Must be familiar with Quality documentation requirements. • Must possess basic computer skills • Must have basic knowledge of welding • Must have basic knowledge of FOD requirements. • Must be able to communicate clearly with customer and supplier representatives and all levels of management. • Must have prior experience or certification in high reliability 9ANSI J-STD-001 & IPC-A-610) soldering, and/or electromechanical test is desirable. • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent • ESD training and certifications is preferred. Working conditions are as follows: • Performed in an office, warehouse and production environment • Requires normal safety precautions. • May require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. • Position will be 40 hours per week with some overtime as needed. • Possible Hard Hat: sites may be required. • Occasional overnight travel may be required as well as some local travel.
