The individual will seek new opportunities and markets for GDC4S and track the high priority plans, programs and budgets as defined by the General Managers. This will involve working with related government offices with responsibilities for procurement, R&D, operations and maintenance. To perform services or department documents as well as personal interaction with the responsible individuals. The person will work closely with account directors, Congressional liaison at GDHQ, division General Managers and business unit managers. Additionally, the individual will act as a Washington DC representative for the Army DOD and related agencies and will perform customer liaison, new program identification and on-going contract/program support for GDC4S government business divisions. This will require frequent direct contact with key government officials and other companies.
Is a knowledge resource relating to sales, marketing, technical and business issues . Often a resource for others in company.
Knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications. Ability to learn new products quickly.
Advanced knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations regarding purchasing
Proven history of strong business relationships, client relationships and contacts network
Outstanding business etiquette skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of individuals from entry level military to executives and government dignitaries
Strong and proven sales skills
Ability to use computer applications effectively
Presentation skills and multimedia skills including creation of and delivery of presentations, to a variety of audiences
Proven and accurate f orecasting skills
Funnel management skills
Good understanding of government budget process
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing; Technical degree or equivalent experience is required. Master's degree or equilivant is required. 12+ years sales experience in technical and/or government based business or relevant DoD experience is required.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
