The candidate will perform information assurance requirement development, analysis and test of TYPE 1 networks, systems, system components and encryption/decryption equipment. Effort includes defining and allocating system security requirements to hardware, firmware and software. The candidate will perform security fault analysis to ensure that the system/equipment meets requirements and make recommendations for increased security based on the analysis. Candidate will also perform development of documentation (Security Evaluation Document, Key Management Plan, Theory of Equipment Operation, Theory of Compliance) required for certification of Type 1 security devices. Candidate will lead/perform security verification and validation testing of systems and security verification testing of devices. The candidate will provide design support to systems, hardware and software team members to ensure that the security requirements are met in the design and implementation. Good written and verbal communication skills are required for interfacing with the certification organization. Additional responsibilities include supporting new business acquisition and mentoring junior engineers in security/information assurance design and analysis methodology. BSCE, BSEE, or BSCS degree with minimum of 5 years experience in security requirements definition, analysis and verification. Candidateshould be familiar with and have an understanding of the Information Assurance Security Requirements Directive (IASRD) and experience in the process and developing documents required for Type 1 equipment certification. Experience in communication protocols, network processors, Power PC processors, key management, networks and familiarity with DITSCAP/DIACAP, Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation and Benign Fill is a plus. Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
