We are seeking a system engineer with Network Test Engineering industry experience in a secure enterprise-wide TCP IP network environment to include routers, switches, servers, firewalls, and other network security appliances. The system engineer performs work at the client site as a member of a test team supporting a large IT project. Perform testing and other test-related activities for internally developed systems, software, and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products. Interface with project managers, software developers, and other technical and functional support staff. Maintain responsibility for verifying and validating application functionality and data. Develop and execute test plans and test scripts, identify defects, and maintain a defect database. Create reports that support the software development cycle. Build manual and automated test cases to verify the functionality of software deliverables. Serve as an interface with the development and client teams as needed to ensure the highest quality product is being delivered. Facilitate end user testing and identify and document defect reports. Support team members and identify potential improvements to the overall solution. Write test documentation, integration and system test plans, and test procedures and reports. Candidates should possess a background in existing and emerging technologies used in voice and data communications networks. Possess an understanding of the entire life cycle of a software project. Must be capable of presenting technical concepts to audiences of various technical abilities. BS Degree in a technical field related to systems engineering is required, as well as demonstrated mastery of practical engineering application that is typically acquired in two or more years of directly related experience Must be willing to travel. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen. Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
