POSITION IS IN KILGORE, TEXAS

Provide project engineering, technical consulting, sales and marketing support in the areas of RF, Electrical Design, Mechanical Design, and Test. • Technical definition of components, parts, products, systems. • Technical specifications and Proposals. • Acts as Project Engineer on special projects • Write procurement specifications and requisitions. • Review or create test plans and procedures. • Produce cost estimates. • Oversee/monitor the DSCS feed refurbishment effort. • Take the lead in developing a depot level electronics test and repair facility. • Train team of electronic techs to handle system installs, rack & stack efforts, and broad based RF testing. • Perform obscuration studies and analyse/interpret RF results from sites. • Provide MilSatCom sites with systems level call-in support. • Provides on site engineering assistance for emergency situations or critical installations. • Write departmental procedures and specifications. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. • Travel, make presentations to customers, problem solve, negotiate. • Assist with assembly and field problems. • Technical writing. • Computer programming. • Investigate and recommend innovative and more cost effective designs. • Accountable for technical compliance of proposals, components, work packages. • Ability to make decisions that minimize costs. • Possess good management skills, be highly productive, reliable and dependable. • Protect Company corporate proprietary documentation. • Properly use Company facilities, equipment and supplies • Comply with Company and departmental policies, procedures and regulations. • Use safe conduct. • Respect other employees and their personal property. • Work during scheduled hours. • Perform tasks in a timely manner. • Maintain quality output while meeting department requirements. This position is with General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Government Systems, Inc., but which operationally reports into General Dynamics C4 Systems, Inc. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but a combination of an Associate Degree with applicable military SatCom experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of RF experience at both component and systems level with a Bachelors Degree, and minimum of 12 years with only an Associate Degree. - Demonstrated supervisory or management experience. . Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes. • Familiarity with design and manufacturing functions. • Design and drafting using AutoCad . • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Clear and concise technical writing skills. • Computer proficiency. • Good communication skills. • Handle multiple tasks. Machines and Equipment Involved: • Network PC/CAD workstation • Normal hand/shop tools. • Software: AutoCad, Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Jobscope, various engineering programs, and Company databases. • Printers, copiers, fax machines, etc. Only qualified candidates will be considered for these positions.
