General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies in San Jose, CA, has an opening for an entry-level Microwave Engineer. This role is responsible for the development, design, analysis, computer modeling, testing and troubleshooting of passive RF microwave components used in large dish antenna systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid understanding of the electrical engineering process from the start of a project through implementation and final test under the direction of the Microwave Engineering Manager.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a related technical field, or the equivalent experience is required.
Must be able to travel 5% of the time.
No Clearance Required.
Additional preferred skills:
Use of electrical engineering CAD tools, preferred experience in HFSS
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Able to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design
