Job Responsibilities
DTS is evolving its highly successful Licensing Audit function into a global Compliance & Audit function with a program management approach. The position of Director, Royalty Audit & Licensing Compliance based in Calabasas, California reporting to the Vice President of Licensing Operations who is based in Limerick, Ireland. The role will lead the function globally a define, develop & deploy a program which will include the repeatable analysis of royalty reporting and the potential of external audits of our licensees. The role will also lead the Compliance function for the company with respect to the investigation and protection against infringement of DTS IP.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in a cross-functional environment engaging with teams in Business Development, Legal Services, Product Certification, Third-party Auditors and directly with our Customers to ensure the effective development and management of DTS' Compliance & Audit program across all regions.

Daily communication with DTS' customers regarding Compliance & Audit related items will be a core responsibility and consequently the ability to analyze and prepare detailed solutions to ensure partnerships are maintained with our customers. Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills will be required of the successful candidate in addition to a deep understanding of our license agreements and products.

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will also need to be strongly detail orientated and will be required to provide regular status updates and strategic plans to senior management.

The successful candidate will manage the Compliance & Audit team in performing a number of strategic and tactical goals including:
• Development & execution of a corporate-wide Compliance & Audit Program
• Communication strategy & revenue monitoring solutions across customer accounts
• Maximizing revenue from IP license agreements with structured targets
• Partnering with DTS legal services to manage potential business risk in the area of IP infringement
• Existing US & EU Customs program management and potential development of partner programs in Asia
Required Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant University Degree and ideally a Masters in Business and / or Accounting. This role will require an individual who has more than 10 years of international experience at management level. The person will have significant commercial experience in a leadership capacity, with demonstrable record of achievement with notable clients. It is imperative that the successful candidate will have hands-on experience in the management of an external customer facing Compliance & Audit program and preferably within the area of Intellectual Property.
