Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Engineering Intern students at Gulfstream Aerospace are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff, and as such, are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the senior engineering staff, the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing production and R&D programs. Duties may include: Preparation and modification of engineering drawings and electrical wiring diagrams using both manual and computer-aided systems such as CADAM, CATIA and Stone Rule. Miscellaneous technical data generation and analysis-available tools include PCs engineering workstations and a Convex supercomputer. These tasks may involve writing new software or modifying existing code. Support of component and full-scale aircraft test activities. Interface with other internal organizations such as manufacturing, marketing, service, product support and purchasing as well as external customers and suppliers. Unique Skills Required: Abilities/Skills: Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Display maturity and a high level of professionalism. Indicate any specific technical skills. Experience/Education Required: - Employer Expectations: Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility; shows pride in work performed; demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules; maintains professional behavior and appearance; exhibits dependability. - Educational Requirements/Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled student majoring in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Civil, or Industrial Engineering and having completed the freshman year. - Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. -
