| Job Description |

Conduct maintenance tasks and deprocessing for the MFT Abrams Tanks M1A1ED, M1A2SEP V2, M104 HABs and other tracked/wheeled vehicles in various CONUS locations.
Provide CONUS maintenance support to units preparing to support of OIF operations.
Provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques for the MFT on M1A1,M1A1ED,M1A2SEPV2, M1A2 SEP, M104 HAB and other tracked/wheeled vehicles.
Assist FSRs at the MFT in performing maintenance of the M1A1, M1A1 AIM, M1A2, M1A2 SEP, M104 HAB and other tracked vehicles
Identify and advise Supervisor/Management/Home Office regarding problems within technical areas as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership responsible for maintenance. |
| Job Requirements |
Must be willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include in field, office and shop environments both on and off of military installations.
Must be able to gain access to US Military facilities in accordance with US Army and General Dynamics standards and policy.
Must be willing to travel CONUS. Must be able to qualify for and able to secure and maintain a US Passport for deployment.
Must be able to qualify for and able to secure and maintain a visa for deployment at the foreign assignment location.
Must meet ASR guidelines for driver's station entry as described in Standard Practice 2-644 and be able to climb onto and into enclosed military vehicles.
Must be able to successfully pass the M1A1 Abrams FST Certification Examination based on the established criteria.
Must posses a valid driver's license and obtain an international driver's license and qualify for security clearance if the position requires relocation overseas.
Must be available to travel within CONUS for extended periods of time to support customer requirements.
Prior military service in tracked vehicle maintenance preferred.
Must have a minimum of 3 years Abrams maintenance experience.
Must have experience in Field Service support of M1 Abrams through M1A2 SEP and other GDLS products in shop and hot field environments required.
Strong M1/M1A1/M1A2/SEP, M104 HAB technical knowledge required
Demonstrated record of customer intimacy and support resulting in a high degree of customer satisfaction required.
Be able to work autonomously with USG personnel.
Multicultural experience desired. |
