| Job Description |

• Field Service Representative Academy Student, Reports to the FSRU Supervisor, Site or Operation Manager
• Capability to provide Abrams maintenance related technical guidance and formal/informal instruction to team and customer as needed, required or requested
• Aptitude to perform as the Site subject matter expert on Abrams Maintenance and other related issues.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbally to peers and the customer.
• Capability to provide guidance, supervision and training on installation and maintenance tasks for Abrams Family of Vehicles as directed in CONUS and OCONUS locations where General Dynamic’s products are fielded.
• Ability to identify and advise Supervisor/Management/Home Office regarding problems within technical areas as required, generate and submit field problem reports (FPR’s) as required
• Attain an 80% passing grade on the written and hands-on practical examination for certification.
• No scheduling of vacations or elective medical/dental procedures (emergency/directed permissible) during training
• Retain current work assignment personnel slot while attending course.
• Perform other duties as required within scope.

• Ability to obtain / maintain American Express Corporate Credit Card (Required)
• Must complete the Skill and Aptitude Assessment (Required)
• Basic computer skills for operator, Windows, MS Office products, e-mail and Adobe.
(Required)
• Schedule no vacation or non-emergency appointments during FSRA training course
duration unless approved through FSRA Supervisor.
• Must have 5 years Abrams Family of Vehicle operator, maintenance and logistics
experience. (Required)
• Previous experience in OIF assignments. (preferred)
• Previous experience with Diagnostic Equipment (preferred)
• Must have knowledge of US Military rank structure and organization.
• Must be willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include field, office and
shop environments both on and off military installations.
• Completed all required OSHA and GDLS required training.
• Must meet ASR guidelines for Abrams Driver Station entry as described in Standard Practice
2-644. Entry into enclosed military vehicles.
• Must successfully meet pre-deployment medical/CRC requirements for overseas
deployment.
• Must posses a valid driver’s license, able to obtain a international driver’s license and be
capable of obtaining a security clearance if necessary.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport and work visa status if the position
requires relocation overseas.
• Must be available and willing to travel globally for extended periods of time to support
customer requirements.
• Ability to abtain and demonstrate customer intimacy and necessary support resulting in an
above average customer evaluation. (required)
• Attain the ability to work at autonomous sites directly for USG personnel as necessary.
• Must be able to recognize colors.
• Demonstrate the ability to take notes, organize and maintain study materials and exhibit
good self study habits to prepare your self for scheduled training and examinations.
• Successful completion of the FSRU Academy curriculum and the passing of the FSR
Certification Examination
• If a current GDSSC employee is selected, will remain as a GDSSC employee until successful passing of the Abrams FSR certification.
