This dedication assures every shareholder, customer and the nation that the name General Dynamics will always mean Strength on Your Side. - Develop complex FPGA firmware for display and processor products. - Perform FPGA simulation and functional verification. - Assist in establishing hardware requirements for board design/layout involving FPGAs. - Design, develop, and test display electronics, components and subsystems. - Perform technology research, feasibility assessments, and detailed hardware design requirements definition. - Analyze display, backlighting, interface, and processor hardware. - Develop engineering design fixes, and coordinate solutions. - Develop concepts to support advanced technology initiatives, IRADS, proposals, and demonstrators. |

| Job Requirements | - Bachelors and/or Masters degree or equivalent in electrical engineering. Other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience. - Strong FPGA VHDL development experience including simulation. - Experience with FPGA IP Core integration and embedded system design including Power PC and Microblaze. - Experience with graphics/video processing FPGA implementations. - Experience with FPGA I/O bus designs including PCI, ethernet, CAN, USB, RS-232/422/485. - Experience with Xilinx SCC and trusted bus macros - Prefer Xilinx ISE, EDK, Mentor Graphics Modelsim tools experience. - Background in analog and digital circuit design and video/graphics interface design is preferred. - Background with microcontrollers, single board computers, and graphic controllers/interfaces is preferred. - Ability to use engineering development and test tools. - Must meet ASR requirements to work Inside vehicles. - Capable of obtaining a security clearance. - Occasional overtime, and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks. |
