How can I set my browser to accept cookies? 

How does the GDIT job site use cookies?

Most cookies are "request.session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive once you end your request.session (that is, log out or close your browser)

ResumeWare (the online Applicant Tracking System in use by GDIT) uses cookies on certain pages of the Web site to:
  • Allow you to sort your job search results.
  • Allow you to page through your search results.
  • Provide "job cart" functionality allowing you to submit your resume for more than one position.

Note: ResumeWare cookies do not store or relate to any personal information.

Special Note on 3rd party Browser Tool bars:
If you are using a 3rd party browser tool bar such as those available from Yahoo, Google, Symantec, etc. you may have to temporarily disable the cookie blocking settings in the tool bar as well as in your web browser.

How can I set my browser to accept cookies?

Click on the browser that you're using to see how to accept cookies:

Accepting cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0 / 7.0
At the top of your browser on the Task Bar:
  1. Choose Tools
  2. Then choose Internet Options
  3. Click the Privacy tab
  4. Click the Advanced button and check the box for Override Automatic Cookie Handling and then Check the box for Always Accept Session Cookies. Click OK and close the dialog box.

At the top of your browser on your Task Bar:
  1. Choose Tools
  2. Then choose Internet Options
  3. Click the Security tab
  4. Click Internet, then Custom Level/li>
  5. Scroll down to Cookies and choose Enable.

  2. Then choose Internet Options
  3. Click the Advanced tab
  4. Scroll down to the yellow exclamation icon under security and choose the Enable Cookies option.
