Researches, designs, develops and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
his position will require a self motivated programmer to aid in the creation and implementation of an enterprise level application with extreme mission responsiveness. Candidate must have previous experience with design, architecture, development and unit testing of web based applications and middleware.

1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
2. Masters Degree preferred.

10-15 years of related software development experience.
This position will require a self motivated senior level JAVA architect and programmer to aid in the creation and implementation of an enterprise level applications. Candidate must have previous experience with design, architecture, development and unit testing of JAVA web based applications and middleware.

Candidate must have experience engineering scalable multi-threaded data applications, developing and unit testing web-based applications. Understanding of Web based technologies required. Candidate should have extensive software engineering skills and previous experience working with multiple technologies including HTTP, JSPs, Servlets, JDBC, application servers, experience integrating open source technologies and working with networking protocols.

The engineer should have experience with different database technologies, including relational databases (i.e. Oracle, MySQL). The engineer must have experience in technologies used to access/manipulate data in the databases: SQL, PL/SQL, and/or ORM based technologies such as Hibernate.

The engineer should also have experience designing/developing consumable services, via Web Services or APIs. Included in this requirement is having familiarity with using/implementing enterprise access controls, in order to restrict user-access to the services and/or data supplied by the services. Additional understanding of security related technologies and programs such as PKI technology, and LDAP technology required.

Candidate with user interface tools and technologies like FLEX, JavaScript, and/or AJAX a plus. Familiarity with scripting via Unix or Perl is a plus. The developer should also be familiar with Agile development practices.

Duties: Analyze and study complex system requirements. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manage their implementation. Translates detailed design into computer software. Implement
COTS packages. Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.

Specialized Qualifications: Experience managing or performing software engineering activities, demonstrated experience working with SQL, and third/fourth generation languages in the design and implementation of systems and using database
management systems. Demonstrate increasing responsibilities in software engineering activities. Have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, knowledge of the Project Management Framework, project management processes and methodologies, and knowledge of the Approved Products List (APL) and Approved Software Products Baseline.

Experience with Tomcat clusters utilizing CISCO load balancer technologies required. Experience building enterprise messaging systems in highly secured environments and hadoop/hbase experience in a large data environment.

Desired skills:
Additional database technologies such as file-based systems, graphing databases and/or XML database are a plus. Experience with Angular a bonus.
