The Customer supports a diverse set of mission goals: to inspect and review Sponsor information systems worldwide in order to ensure that Sponsor network systems and related IT architecture are appropriately aligned with established countermeasures and safeguards; to assist with the formation of policy regarding the Security requirements for such systems; and make appropriate recommendations to the Customers, and various elements.
SI/Information Assurance Engineer will attend technical meetings and review policies for accuracy, analyze system policies, roles, protocols, directory file permissions, and related technical specifications to ensure proper mitigation of Sponsor threats. The SI/Information Assurance Engineer will need a working knowledge of Sponsor architecture, Windows and Unix/Linux operation systems, field systems and field network architecture, Web based and virtual elements of future and emerging technologies. The SI/Information Assurance Engineer will also need familiarity with operational black side networks to assist in evaluations.
SI/Information Assurance Engineer will conduct reviews of Sponsor field, WMA facilities, and systems to evaluate the threat to any or all Sponsor information systems and data that is stored, processed or transmitted on electromagnetic media or in the electromagnetic spectrum. The SI/Information Assurance Engineer will help ensure these systems and configurations mitigate threats as needed. The SI/Information Assurance Engineer may also be called upon to participate in joint computer security investigations with other Sponsor offices and/or government agencies.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
8-10 years of related experience in data security administration.
