Principal Engineer, Systems in Herndon, Virginia

Expert working proficiency with MS Office suite desktop applications.

Experience with collaboration tools and portal technologies (i.e. MS Sharepoint).
 
Outstanding time and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing priorities and short suspense timelines.
 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
 
Experience preparing/reviewing documentation and developing/delivering formal presentations.
 
Exceptional ability to work in a team environment comprised of technical personnel and mission partners.
 
Exceptional Customer Service skills. Ability to work and communicate at various levels (i.e. amongst peers, technical partners, management, and executive level customers).
 
Proactive, self-starter, motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexible and adaptable, demonstrated ability to support high demand work environment, responsible, strong work ethic.
 
Familiarization/experience with ITIL processes.
 
Assist management in a zero base review of current lines of business, standard operating procedures, internal process workflows, metrics collection and assessments, asset management, and identify opportunities for improvements, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
 

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.

Desired skills:
Working experience with Change Management/SRS (Remedy).
Working experience in Project Management.
