General Dynamics Information Technology is currently seeking Web Developers to augment our Chambursburg Pa support facility. Duties and responsibilities include: Perform design, custom programming, and implementation of web-based software in support of a software modernization project. The development will require a review of the current input presentation layer, database update procedures, edits/validations, and development, testing, and documentation of the web enabled application. Candidates will work in a team environment with other developers, programmers, and database administrators. Perform detailed system analysis and write clear and concise requirements/specifications in a fast-paced environment. Create/modify functional design documents for moderately complex application enhancements and break/fix in collaboration with appropriate staff and leadership. Requires BS/BA degree and/or applicable industry certifications. Requires at least 5 years of experience. • Demonstrated ability to capture requirements by interactions with customers, other technical staff members, and from Department of the Army regulations. • Highly skilled in requirements gathering, systems design, development and implementation. • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with demonstrated experience documenting and working through issues for gathering requirements, documenting, and implementing web-based software. • Clearly and effectively communicate ideas/concepts to technical and business audiences in both written and verbal form • Experience with SQL and working knowledge of MaxDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar database systems. • Understanding of .NET technologies, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008 experience a MUST |
