General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Tier 1 Security Operations Center (SOC) Incident Handler, for an opening in Northern Virginia in support of The Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The successful candidate will work as part of a 24x7x365 analysis team, to identify, prioritize, and analyze incidents from across Federal agency boundaries, utilizing COTS/GOTS products (IDS, network traffic analysis tools, SIM tools) for both Civil and Federal customers. The successful candidate will interface with Federal and Civilian Agencies as security events develop or as customers' call with information security questions. The candidate will develop basic correlation of security events as they become known. All candidates shall possess a Top Secret / Secure Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and maintain that level of access. Clearances shall be verifiable through GDIT Security. All applicants must meet and maintain DHS suitability requirements. BS/BA degree preferred. The preferred candidate will already have a CISSP or have 3 years of experience in a computer security discipline working with the knowledge of information security theory and practice. Some weekend and holiday hours will be required. This position also requires a candidate that possesses strong customer service skills, verbal, written, and communications skills, and the ability to speak clearly on the telephone with good phone manners. This is 2nd Shift (2P to 10P) Monday-Friday. |
