The core objective will be creating application packages that are readily accepted by enterprise management systems/personnel. Engineer will provide for overall project planning, implementation and related team management. Application Management/Deployment Engineer (Senior) will create implementation and sustainment plans for an enterprise software packaging and distribution team. While team will not operate the enterprise system management solution, they will be directly integrating with those activities; must design and develop packaging and distributions solutions that support mass application deployment. Engineer must be able to assess and integrate with existing Oracle/IIS electronic download server with an eye toward eventual automated machine-to-machine replication capability. Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent experience; Must have CompTIA Security 2008 (or better) security certification or be able to obtain within 3 months of start. Additional professional certifications are highly desirable. Minimum 5 years experience with database systems design and interconnect to SMS/SCCM highly desired. Minimum 5 years experience in Windows PC systems administration and application support; in-depth understanding of Windows OS architecture, system components, registry and security. Experience required in creating MSI-based application installations using Wise Package Studio (preferred), InstallShield, Visual Studio packager or other; experience building and supporting client systems with enterprise management solutions such as SMS/SCCM (preferred), Tivoli or other. Experience with ITIL/MOF desirable. Communications skills are essential. Team/project management skills are essential. Wise Package Studio, Microsoft SMS/SCCM, Pre-release or emerging products (Windows 7, Office 2010, IE8, etc). Active Secret Security Clearance or be able to acquire a Secret Security Clearance. |
