Member of the USARC Data Center Consolidation Team responsible for the development of Service Delivery plans for the new Army Enterprise Service Desk program. Could be lead tech on multiple technician surveys 1. Assesses and documents current site Server & network configuration and user requirements and the Installation current Tier 2-3 support processes and teams. 2. Prepares engineering plans and site implementation packages. 3.Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. 4. Prepares and coordinates Site Service Delivery Plans based on standard delivery cirteria provided by the Government. 7.Configures servers, software, network devices, and peripheral equipment. 8.Installs servers & network hardware. 9.Trains site personnel on a wide variety of systems and processes. 10. Provide documentation for all ESD system deployments and processes 11. Interact closely with Customer Service to assist in problem resolution Requires BS/BA degree or combination of experience and eduaction Requires 2-5 years experience including 2 years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field including support, development and design of Server and Network systems. 1. 2 years experience supporting and testing enterprise applications in an MS Windows 2000/2003, Visual Basic.NET and MSSQL Server environment. 2. The candidate must be proficient in, analyzing, and troubleshooting operating platform/connectivity problems. Working Knowledge of Service Desk Desired. 3. A Working knowledge of MS Windows Server 2000/2003, Active Directory, integrated DNS and AD replication is desired. 4. An MCSE is desired. 5. Script writing skills are desired. 6. Experience with CA Unicenter or other Service Desk systems desired. Experience with the US Military systems desired and Army preferred. ITIL experience desired or similar best practices desired. Job is 50% travel in the US. |
