Job Description General Dynamics Information Technology is a top-tier IT integrator that provides information technology, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civil and commercial sectors. Responsible for managing skilled IT personnel and advanced IT technology in support of training Army National Guard (ARNG) Soldiers. Developing long-range strategies and implementation plans for system architecture for distributed learning systems, simulations, and the integration of other technological assets will be a critical function of this position. Specifically, this position is responsible for leading a team of up to 20 skilled Information Technology (IT) professionals who manage the technical capabilities of BCTC-Dodge. These technical capabilities consist of complex Simulations and Stimulations systems such as the JLCCTC-ERF and OneSAF, a distributed learning system called the Battle Command Training & Distributed System (BCT&DS), and Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS). These systems are employed to train ARNG. This position will be responsible for synchronizing and integrating all technical aspects of BCTC-Dodge and implementing solutions to reduce cost and increase capability. This position will be responsible for ensuring the design, implementation, and execution of simulation and stimulation systems in support of collective exercises occurs. This position will require a thorough understanding of project management principles and system design processes. This position will be responsible for the life cycle development of multiple disparate systems. This position will require managing the application of ABCS, Simulations and Stimulation systems, and other systems are integrated in the BCT&DS or distributed environment. This position will require a thorough understanding and adherence of DIACAP and Department of Defense (DoD) policies and procedures. Ensuring IT personnel are maintaining qualification on positions in support of DoD Policy 8570 and DIACAP is critical to this position. This position will be required to report to senior level management and to the Government on purchases, requirements, and other technical issues. This position will be responsible for generating metrics and reports that will be briefed to senior management. This position will be responsible for ensuring data center operations occur on a low-mid level data center consisting of blade servers, SAN, and other components. A thorough understanding of classified and unclassified networks will be required of this position. Systems architecture and looking at long-range strategy on implementation of various technologies will be a primary function of this position. Managing help-desk operations will be a responsibility of this position. Extensive travel and night/weekend work may be required in order to support ARNG training

Requires BS/BA degree in Computer Engineering, or other technical field. Masters degree preferred.

Requires 8-10 years experience.
• 5-10 years experience in systems design and development.
• 5-8 years experience with IT Project Management
• 5-10 years experience leading or managing teams of skilled IT individuals
• Experience in a Army Brigade or Battalion Communications Section as a Staff Officer or Senior NCO is highly desirable but not required


• Detailed experience working with enterprise level applications such as VMware and Citrix
• Experience with small-midsized data centers and supporting hardware and software
• Thorough understanding of networking concepts across all network layers.
• Operating systems experience in the following; Cisco IOS, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Red Hat Linux, Solaris 9, and Unix.
• Understanding of the DIACAP process and advanced security implementations for DoD networks.
• Experience with Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS)
• Experience with Simulations and Stimulations such as the JLCCTC-ERF
• Military experience is in a technical discipline is highly desirable.
• Advanced IT Certificates are desirable such as; CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Security +, and MCST.
