Bunker Guard (Phase I) instructor
Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the facility security functions. Works under direct supervision of the Guard Force Section Leader. Each Guard Force instructor/role player will be required to simulate the appropriate conduct of guard force behavior appropriate for the accomplishment of resistance training objectives. The Guard Force Instructor provides a simulated force in which students perceive a real world guard force whose mission is to search, transport, and guard captives. The primary purpose of the Guard Force is to provide safety, oversight and protection for students and assisting the student in projecting into the Resistance Training Lab. This position requires the instructor to use a moderate level of role-play instructional methodology. Principal duties and responsibilities include: guard force members must be proficient in using the role-play instructional methodology to satisfactorily modify student behaviors using appropriate questioning techniques, authorized physical and psychological pressures and assigned standardized operating procedures to guide students in the appropriate use and application of captivity survival skills. Perform additional duties as assigned.
- perform Bunker Guard / Phase I Instructor duties and responsibilities in a professional manner
- maintain the highest standards in ethical behavior at all times when in contact with student soldiers
- maintain certification as a fully qualified and certified trainer as set by the US Army SERE Course Quality Assurance section


Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience Bachelor's Degree preferred.




Typically requires 3-5 years of directly related training experience.

Lifting, bending, and climbing may be required in performance of duties.
Must possess a working knowledge of instructional methodology (particularly the role play method). Ability to execute resistance training in an operational environment, exposing student to problems associated with various forms of exploitation. Thorough knowledge and understanding of meeting survival needs while in a captivity environment.
