Responsible for the employment of the maneuver simulations and stimulations systems. This position will be responsible for Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability - Entity Resolution Federation, (JLCCTC-ERF) systems and components to include Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) and After Action Review (AAR) systems. position will also be responsible for administrating the Battle Command Staff Trainer (BCST). This position may be responsible for the administration of the One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF) system. The administration of these systems entails the configuration of the hardware and software components, as well as system administration, database development, testing and preparation for unit digital battle staff exercises and training. Additionally this position will entail installing, configuring, operating and managing all operating system software, and simulation application software used by the JLCCTC federates and other configurations of Simulations. Modify existing scenarios as well as building new scenarios and maintaining a complete scenario for the systems assigned. Execution of a simulation runs using developed scripts and scenarios. Troubleshooting and solving problems with the software and associated hardware. Responsibilities will include installing and configuration of associated software on servers, individual systems, and the distributed learning system employed to train the Army National Guard (ARNG). This position may participate in software and hardware specification and design reviews, exercise readiness reviews and IPRs, system requirements reviews and relevant user/developer working groups as required. This position will be required to maintain familiarity with Army doctrine, organization, Warfighting Functional Area (WFF), and small unit tactics to accomplish assigned duties. Responsible for identifying base computer and software problems as well as providing assistance to commanders and their staff on the placement of their units within the simulation to best support the commander's intent and to meet the training objective. This position will be required to train operators in order to employ some systems during exercises and to present military Role Play instruction on specific computer models, menu interface system and techniques for structuring computer output into useful formats. Instruction must be sufficient to enable Role Player to operate system equipment and accomplish military functional tasks in the simulation. This position will be required to work weekends and nights in support of training to the ARNG. Travel may be required in support of mobile training teams (MTT). Requires BS/BA degree Requires 5-8 years experience with system administration. Experience with ERF or MRF and supporting network infrastructures to include DIS and HLA, and Tactical networks. • Familiarity with Gaming Systems such as VBS2. • Familiarity with ABCS software. • Advanced Windows and Linux operating experience. • Military instruction experience. • US Army operations experience and familiarity with the Maneuver and Movement War Fighting Function. |
