Conducts or participates in the research, design and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms as well as enhancements, modifications and corrections to existing software. Codes, tests, integrates and documents software solutions. Requires BS/BA degree. Requires 8-10 years experience. InDesign experience a must; version 4 preferred. Web Designer We are currently looking for web designers who are skilled in Photoshop, XHTML/CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET 2.0 (Microsoft Sharepoint a plus). The designer will be responsible for designing and developing websites in a dynamic environment, as well as redesigning existing websites to adhere to WC3 standards as well as Section 508 compliance. As a web designer. the candidate's responsibilities would include developing new and attractive design concepts with logical and consistent navigation, implementing Branding designs concepts, and designing logos and images for presentation materials. We are looking for someone who enjoys working hard in a dynamic and creative atmosphere as part of a highly motivated and productive team. Excellent creative problem solving skills and communication skills are required for this position, along with an honest, self-motivated, and a strong desire to expand and capitalize on your existing skill set. Tasks and Responsibilities • Liaising closely with a customer at the design stage to answer questions such as: why is the site needed? who is the target audience? etc; • Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required; • Deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web; • Ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities; • Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions; • Ability to debug errors. • Working in collaboration with other developers to meet product cycle updates • Introducing new features into existing web applications • Improving the code base and techniques currently being used • Taking part in new product development. From planning to development to deployment • Re-writing older "legacy" code that is out of date • Taking on challenging development tasks required for upcoming products • Assist in developing enterprise-scale web applications Qualifications: • Strong ability with Photoshop required • Expert level of proficiency with Dreamweaver required • Troubleshooting and problem resolution with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and ASP • Proficiency with XHTML, CSS , and JavaScript required • Ability to express creative marketing concepts required • Understanding of browser and platform compatibility issues highly desired • Understanding of CSS layout • Experience with Flash and ActionScript 2.0 a plus • Experience with Ajax a plus • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint a plus • Experience with Content Management Systems a plus • Ad Agency experience a plus Lotus Notes/LotusScript/Domino Experience a plus |
