Web Developer Fort Gordon / Augusta, GA Active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI level access required. Position is not expected to deploy. Awesome opportunity to work in Augusta, GA - a low cost of living area. General Dynamics is a well respected employer with significant presence in the Augusta/Fort Gordon area. Software Programmer / Application Developer Seeking team player as well as independent programmer to help our customer develop specialized applications performing various key functions. The position requires a Top Secret Security clearance with SCI level access. Polygraph is not required. Those without a TS/SCI need not apply. Thank you. * Assist in continuing software development tasks contributing to the next generation of a web application and interface using AJAX, Mod-Perl and SQL, interacting with an Oracle Database, MySQL DB, and Sybase. * Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. * 5 + Years experience as a Software Engineer supporting software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and integration (with both new and legacy systems). * Experience using software version tools ( CVS or SVN ). * 2 + Years experience as a web developer within the past 4 years (web technologies in order of importance: Mod-Perl, Mason, JavaScript, SQL, XML, WSDL, Apache). * 2 + Years experience within last 4 years integrating data from multiple sources and various data formats into a unified data processing and delivery environment. * 1 + Year experience as a PERL programmer within past 2 years. * Comprehensive understanding of AJAX. * Familiar with Regular Expression (REGEXP)use. * Familiar with UNIX and Apache 1.x and 2.x running on a UNIX platform. * Work experience with programmatic interfaces to relation database and Object Oriented Programming. * Working familiarity with software engineering standards and practices. Prefer Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4+ years) of experience in related field performing similar type of IT Programming. 6-8 years of experience. POSITION REQUIRES TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE |
