Job Description General Dynamics Information Technology is a top-tier IT integrator that provides information technology, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civil and commercial sectors. Description
The duties of this task include examining the Sponsor's information systems to determine if vulnerabilities exist and, if they are found, what mitigating strategies can be applied. The end goal is to ensure the integrity of Sponsor systems by identifying and mitigating potential avenues of exploitation, including system level attacks and user level attacks.

General Duties
Review and make recommendations on program-level documentation (e.g. requirements specification, system architecture, design documents, test plans, security plans, etc.).
Develop and document security evaluation test plan and procedures.
Assist in researching, evaluating, and developing relevant Information Security policies and guidance.
Actively participate in or lead technical exchange meetings and application review boards, documenting actions items/results of these events.
Brief management, as needed, on the status of action items and/or results of activities.
Conduct hands-on wireless security testing, analyze test results, document risk, and recommend countermeasures.
Coordinate with other program elements conducting security testing.
Assess/calculate risk based on threats, vulnerabilities, and shortfalls uncovered in testing.
Identify mitigating countermeasures to identified threats, vulnerabilities, and shortfalls.
Identify needs for testing equipment and gaps in testing capabilities; conduct research on and evaluation of automated testing tools and provide summaries and reports to sponsor on the tool capabilities, in support of potential procurement by sponsor.
Perform network security analysis and risk management for designated corporate networks.
Clarify security requirements and recommend security countermeasures.
Read and analyze SSPs and develop understanding of systems and applications into security test plans.
Coordinate facility testing with appropriate security personnel.

Specific Duties for the Security Assessment Tester.
Perform technical surveys of sponsor sites for wireless signals; write report of surveys.
Perform compliance checks for unauthorized wireless during sponsor events.
Conduct in-depth testing and assessment of authorized implementations of wireless; write assessment reports.
Conduct outreach to sponsor components as well as other government agencies, as directed by sponsor, brief on wireless technology and related threats.

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and Full Scope (Lifestyle) Polygraph.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Possession of either a ISC2 CISSP certification or SANS GSEC certification is required.

Requires 5-8 years experience.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
General Qualifications
Possess strong technical skills and analytic abilities, as well as, experience performing network security analysis and risk management.
Possess broad knowledge of network architectures and network management tools.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical tasks in pursuit of overall goals with minimal direction.
Possess first rate written and oral communications skills.
Experience in using Information Assurance test and risk assessment tools is required.
Possess knowledge of risk management methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to analyze test results and suggest mitigations for security problems.
Possess a broad knowledge of Information Security policies and guidance, as well as the ability to assist in researching, evaluating, and developing relevant security policies and guidance.
Possess a working knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Assurance policies and regulations and how the certification and accreditation (C&A) process relates to it.
Possess a thorough knowledge of the Sponsor's standard project cycle.
Possess a familiarity with the Intelligence Community organizations.

Specific Qualifications for the Wireless Security Assessment Tester.
Ability to lift and carry equipment cases up to 50 pounds. Work detail involves extended periods of walking, climbing/descending building staircases, and/or riding in automobiles.
Demonstrated ability in performing technical surveys to detect wireless activity and locate wireless devices.
Experience using and customizing software tools that store and parse the data collected, for analysis and reports.
Ability to analyze technical specifications of hardware and capabilities and features of GOTS and COTS software to advise sponsor on potential acquisitions.
