The successful candidates are required to have a knowledge and understanding of shipboard and shore based electrical/electronic systems, i.e. power distribution panels, load center, LANS and video systems. Candidates must be experienced in the use of various types of general purpose electrical/electronics and data test equipment. The candidates will be experienced in the connection of various types of video, copper, muti pin, RF cables and the building of associated connectors. Experience in reading and applying schematic drawings, blueprints, and shipyard drawings is a must. The successful candidates should be familiar with government and Navy Quality Assurance requirements, shipyard procedures, and various related installation guidelines. Requires High School diploma or equivalent. Applicants shall have completed the appropriate military, civilian technical schools or have shipyard experience in their specialty. Requires 1-3 years experience electrical and electronic systems installation. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation to obtain a secret security clearance to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Work is typically performed at field sites and client facilities, which require proper safety equipment and precautions. Moderate physical effort in handling of heavy materials, boxes and tools or equipment. Candidate must be able transport themselves to and from multiple local jobsite's. Out of town travel is REQUIRED CONUS and OCONUS. |
