| Job Description | General Dynamics Information Technology is a top-tier IT integrator that provides information technology, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civil and commercial sectors. With 16,000 professionals worldwide, the company has the customer knowledge, domain expertise and proven performance to manage large-scale, mission-critical IT programs.
The USCG data network is Windows 2003 and higher Forest. GDIT is tasked with providing full lifecycle support to these systems and all support systems for both classified and unclassified networks. Currently supported systems and technolgies include: Window 2003 Active Directory, MS Exchange 2003, WSUS, SMS, HBSS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SCOM, BackupExec, with more technology planned for insertion. Successfull candidate will work within TISCOM's Problem Management Group. This group works as an escalation point for troubleshooting complex data systems and network issues, conducting root cause analysis, and recommend system changes/improvements. Candidate will also assist in the planning and execution of new technology rollout and provide lifecycle support after technology insertion. Due to the nature of this position, candidate will be required to adjust their working hours periodically to accomodate system maintenance during off hours to minimize impact to users. Requires BS/BA degree. Must possess Microsoft certifications in relevant technolgies. ITIL certifications are a plus. Requires 8-10 years experience. Must have 4 years experience with supporting a Windows Active Directory similar in size and nature; geographically dispersed with 10,000 users or greater. Experience with HBSS is a plus. |
