| Job Description | General Dynamics Information Technology is a top-tier IT integrator that provides information technology, systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, federal civil and commercial sectors. Successful candidate will have extensive experience in networking, utilizing Cisco hardware. Incumbent must have implementation experience for enterprise networks, to include, ATM circuits (OC-3, OC-12, etc), T-1 and DS3. Must also have experience with layer 2 technologies, specifically CISCO Ethernet switches. Candidate will be able to configure switch ports, and VLANS for Cisco equipment. Experience with encryption devices; specifically, Fastlane, Taclane, KIV19 and KIV-7 desired, KG-75. Experience with Voice over IP utilizing Cisco products is also a desired. Experience with creation of MS Visio drawings would also be of benefit. Candidate will be required to Performs site surveys, generate (SOW) statements of work, project installation plans, and run large-scale installation projects from start to finish. Individual will Develops Build of Materials (BOMs) and/or Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) for network cable infrastructure and associated equipment and execute plan per design Work involves walking, standing, sitting and lifting materials weighing up to 20 lbs or more with or without assistance. Incumbent expected to perform other duties as assigned as they relate to network installation throughout the NE CONUS RSC. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. One of the following Education/Experience levels is required: 1. Master's degree 6 years of experience 2. Bachelor's degree 8 years of experience 3. No Degree 14 years of experience Note: Successful completion of a relevant IT certification may be substituted for one year of experience.
