In this key position, you will conduct analytical studies of the computer security aspects of military information systems, and networks which may lead to recommendations to improve operational effectiveness in the client organization. This involves:
* Analyzing, assimilating, and evaluating information relating to computer/network security and Information Assurance.
* Researching policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and objectives and applying them for the protection of information and information systems.
* Analyzing simple to complex systems using advanced instrumentation, methods, procedures, and processes.
* Exercising judgment in determining criteria, metrics, and techniques to be used, and manner of presenting results in all phases of analysis.
* Organizing, developing and presenting briefings, written summaries, and written reports which may incorporate narrative, tabular and graphic elements.
* Participate as a system security/Information Assurance subject matter expert in support of functional interoperability assessment teams and engineering design teams to identify and assess computer /network security and make recommendations concerning overall security accreditation readiness and compliance with Information Assurance guidance and best practices.

Minimum of 2 years Information Assurance experience with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional work experience.


Must have the following experience:
- CISSP
- Microsoft and Unix/Linux OS (Primarily MS)
- LAN/WAN security engineering (including 802.11)
- System certification testing for DIACAP accreditation
- Risk Assessment

Experience must include familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network security and analysis tools.

Strong conceptual and analytical skills, to include the ability to assess system and network security configurations for compliance with Information Assurance controls (DODI 8500.2)

Strong oral and written skills and dexterity using Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Military experience in Information Assurance, computer security, computer network defense, and network operations.
2. Experience applying the DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
3. Basic computer security penetration testing skills.
4. Software and application security evaluation skills.
5. Familiarity with VMware.


Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
