Responsible for facilities engineering, network design support, certification, definition of DTS network architecture standards, evaluating emerging technologies and preparing/reviewing site-specific requirements documents for the New Embassy Compound/New Consular Compounds (NEC/NCC). Coordinate with Project Officers, Technicians, Engineers, and Sponsor management to establish the technical accuracy of site-specific drawings. Travel to DOS offices in Rosslyn, VA frequently to support this task. May be asked to travel overseas to support facilities planning and support. This may include travel to OCONUS high risk and/or danger zones covered by the Defense Base Act. Responsible for the development of site-specific Sponsor requirements for all NEC/NCC projects provided to the Overseas Building Operations (OBO) management for inclusion in NEC/NCC Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The document includes Customer Test Facility (CTF) room size space requirements, power requirements, cooling requirements, lighting, ladder rack placement, cable infrastructure elevations, satellite pad placement, conduit runs and roof penetrations. Create and maintain the FY NEC/NCC project schedule and provide Sponsor management with updated changes as they occur. This requires close coordination with OBO, IRM and Approval to Operate (ATO). Interface with the OBO Construction staff and support architecture and engineering contractors to ensure that all site specific drawings are accurate, and that the Sponsor's requirements have been incorporated into the design and build drawing packages. Work closely with all parties requiring connectivity into the CTF to ensure that all engineering requirements have been addressed. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience. 5-8 years of related facilities administration experience, including supervisory experience. |
