The role of the SAP Technology and Automation Architect is to guide and support the technical direction of SAP at PETSMART. Integral duties include performing technology assessment, solutions architecture and roadmap development of our SAP technologies. This role will also provide guidance, oversee and review technical introductions and adjustments into the landscape. Additionally, this resource must have proficiency in proof of concept, quality assurance and process automation.

For a candidate to be considered he/she needs to have demonstrated they can:

SAP Technology
• Display broad exposure to SAP applications including core ERP, NetWeaver, BW, Solution Manager and Business Suite.
• Utilize expert proficiency in all aspects of SAP technologies including general NetWeaver, ABAP, WebDynpro, BSPs, Workflow, Portal, all integration technologies (idoc, bapi, rfc, webservices)
• Provide strong functional understand of end to end process integration dependencies and testing. Usage of TDMS a plus.
• Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements
o Promote the use of SAP Standard to support the business
o Assessment of unused SAP Components
o Architecting any new SAP Deployment
o Assessment of current landscape technology and remediation
o Architect existing remediation efforts
• Leverage business process knowledge and SAP knowledge for prototyping solutions as a shared service to the business
• Investigate new SAP solutions for internal Applications promotions (enhancement packs, support packs, etc…)
• Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT use of business processes
• Display understanding of large scale systems, performance optimazation and 24x7 operations and associated change management impact

Quality Assurance:
• Automate test scripts to accurately test critical business processes during integration and performance test phases.
• Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.
• Leverage SAP Solution Manager for document management, test management and change impact analysis
• Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements
• Provide QA functions along with application testing in integrated testing environment using Quality Center
• Assist in test plans and script management for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems
• Leverage tools and technical experience in Quality Center, QTP and TAO
