SUMMARY The Regional Loss Prevention and Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing Loss Prevention and Safety operations for an assigned area of responsibility as determined by their Senior Regional Loss Prevention & Safety Manager and approved by the Director, Loss Prevention & Safety. KEY COMPETENCIES Key competencies include, but are not limited to, the following: • Exceptional investigative and interviewing skills • Solid knowledge and understanding of retail loss prevention activities • Solid knowledge and understanding of retail safety programs • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication (i.e., verbal and written) skills • Proficient knowledge and understanding of all applicable analytical reporting generated by the Business Information Warehouse (BIW), SAP, ASPECT and Case Reporting Systems • Solid knowledge and understanding of computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Accurate and timely reporting of data • Self-managed individual ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Acts as the primary Loss Prevention and Safety partner for assigned stores within their district(s) of responsibility • Provides front-line support to field management (e.g., Store Management teams, Districts Managers and Regional Directors) in the administration of Loss Prevention and Safety incident reduction programs • Initiates and reacts to Loss Prevention investigations into potential loss or violations of Company policy • Conducts Shrink and Safety compliance reviews and provides appropriate operational support/follow-up to ensure opportunities for improvement are identified and corrected • Performs store visits in accordance with the Red Store Program, STOP Store program and High Risk Store Program. • Provides recommendations and coordinates implementation of policies and procedures to ensure consistent execution of Loss Prevention and Safety programs • Conducts Loss Prevention and inventory shrink training sessions for store management and applicable field management partners within assigned districts • Conducts Safety training and monthly STOP calls for store management and applicable field management within assigned districts • Analyzes Loss Prevention and safety trends and takes action based on findings with support of their Senior Regional Loss prevention and safety manager. • Acts as field liaison for all vendor-related initiatives and outside agencies related to security and safety within assigned districts • Works with outside agencies (e.g., federal, state and local law enforcement, etc.), as necessary • Performs special projects at the direction of the applicable Senior Regional Loss Prevention and Safety Manager and/or the Director, Loss Prevention and Safety EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE An Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or an appropriate field of study. A minimum of three years Loss Prevention and Safety (or related) experience is required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Interview and Interrogation Techniques Certification (e.g., Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid, etc.) required. CFI (Certified Forensic Interviewer) certification desirable.
Experience/Education EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE An Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or an appropriate field of study. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Interview and Interrogation Techniques Certification (e.g., Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid, etc.) required.
