We are looking for a new team member who can help us advance our enterprise software systems. As a member of this team you will work on strategic projects delivering world class enterprise software systems to a wide variety of customers. The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for development of clear requirements that define a solution for our customers and, therefore, the scope of our projects. To be successful at this role, the business analyst will require an expert understanding of the technical aspects of our products and the problem space/domain. We are looking for a big-picture thinker who will challenge the status quo and think beyond the current projects and products. You must have a curious mind and be able to collect ideas from varied sources and put structure around scope. You need to be able to create clarity for the project team and drill down to technical details when necessary. Responsibilities & Key Tasks • Elicit and manage the requirements for the strategic development of our energy management software platform(s) • Help evolve our requirements definition and management processes and tools to increase productivity, quality and repeatability • Help product management set the strategic direction for our products • Assist project managers with risk and scope management • Provide customer and application context for the software platform development team • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders • Raise the level of industry and business knowledge within the department Essential Qualifications: • A University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related program • 3+ years of post-secondary relevant work experience • Proven ability to learn quickly, multi-task and handle pressure to meet tight deadlines • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills • Proven ability to make decisions without knowing all of the details • Proven ability to self-manage time and tasks effectively • Strong work ethic and organizational skills • Strong analysis and problem solving skills • Strong change management skills • Positive attitude, enthusiastic, self-motivated and user focused Desirable • Understanding of the enterprise energy management industry • Experience with Schneider Electric software or metering products • 2-5 years of experience as a business analyst, software developer, software tester or field application engineer |
