This engineer will be located in our reliability lab in Burnaby, where he/she will be expected to coordinate various test programs with the engineering team and product quality leaders. He/she will provide day to day direction to lab technologists, lead failure/risk analysis and ensure appropriate corrective actions for risk mitigation. This position may include some international travel to other labs, test facilities or design centers for coordinating and performing testing. Principle accountabilities & responsibilities: •Will be responsible for understanding customer's requirements to plan reliability testing, and be able to create test profiles representing real life conditions the product will experience over its life •Will act as a focal point back to the engineering development team and quality •Must have strong interpersonal skills such as good listening skills and team player attitude •Must have project management skills •Must have strong data analysis / interpretation skills and be comfortable in creating presentations and presenting to various internal teams •Will be expected to help drive corrective action by direct interaction with other team members •Will be responsible for tracking, coordinating and scheduling multiple different experiments at one time •Will be expected to train and provide daily direction to engineering reliability technologists •Must be eager to learn and obtain any specified training as required in the field of reliability engineering e.g. CRE Academic & skill requirements: •BS in electrical or electronics engineering •1 to 2 years of work experience in electrical design engineering field. •A background in reliability engineering field is preferred •MS Office: (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), basic data logging scripts. •Experience with LabView would be an asset Care.
