Job Responsibilities	Schneider Electric is seeking full time, Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. Design Engineer is accountable for delivery of all aspects of business critical programs such as development of new technologies/products. The ideal candidate: • Minimum 3 years experience driving mechanical design of electromechanical products, Energy Distribution Equipment, Low voltage Products. • Thoroughness in FMEA and Risk Analysis. Familiarity with electromechanical products. • Must have worked in a New Product Development (NPD) environment with clear thrust on driving appropriate technologies. • Strong knowledge of materials- particularly metals and injection-molded through a range field proven applications in mechanical design. • Ability to make decisions between application of technologies and platforms on products. • Has successfully work on product development projects with cross-functional/global teams • Cultivates strong, successful relationships with external customers and other internal functional stakeholders including other Design Centers, integrated supply chain, finance, sales and product marketing • Has previous work experience across Electrical industry. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Work directly with global engineering team and program management to formulate and drive technology platforms for electromechanical products design. • Work on developing new and existing electromechanical product such as Low Voltage Final Distribution products and platforms. • With an intuitive grasp of customer needs and using well-developed communications and planning skills, will be able to successfully develop several product simultaneously. Qualifications Skills • Experience using Pro E modeling for mechanical design. • Experience GD&T analysis and implementation is a plus • Good communication skills i.e. verbal, written • Bilingual English/Spanish 80% • PC literate with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project • Good interpersonal skills • Attitude • Self motivated and enthusiastic • Good problem solving skills / disciplined & analytical approach • Reliable with sense of responsibility • Good team player but also capable of working under own initiative Basic Qualifications: • BS degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in electromechanical products design with Strong Mechanical design Background
