Description:
Schneider Electric is currently recruiting students to be a part of Energy Solutions as a Software Engineer developing customer specific applications, add-on modules and reporting for power and energy management systems. The full lifecycle software development group focuses on acquisition, processing and reporting metered data, alarms and events. Typical applications range from acquiring data from networked and serially connected automation devices, processing algorithms, database storage and retrieval and reporting. User interfaces are either thin or thick client depending on requirements. Duties include all parts of the software development lifecycle from requirements management through maintenance on both new and existing applications.
Desired Skills and Training
- Computer Science / Engineering (Software, Computer or Electrical) Degree
- Proactive, highly motivated and have excellent written and oral communications skills
Position Initial Focus:
This position is intended to focus on the creation and testing of report applications using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services within an existing ASP.NET framework, creating SQL stored procedures and SQL queries.

Microsoft Visual C#, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, Microsoft Excel and VBA
ADO.NET, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL SERVER 2005, Microsoft SQL SERVER Reporting Services, Microsoft IIS, Javascript, AJAX, HTML, XML, XSLT Networking, TCP/IP and Serial Communications, Industrial Measurement / Control, SCADA, Modbus
