Our Schneider Electric Services business is one of our fastest growing segments. The Services Team works on electrical and automation control equipment and provides onsite repair and maintenance, custom equipment design, wiring, installation & testing, and start-up & commissioning of Schneider Electric equipment. We have 24 service districts that provide opportunities all across Canada.


PURPOSE / ROLE SUMMARY
•Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, planning, execution, control and completion of specific projects according to deadlines and within budget ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, partners and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to contractual commitment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Define project scope, goals, methodology & deliverables
•Develop full scale project plans and define project tasks and resource requirements.
•Manage project budget, resource allocation and day-to-day operational aspects.
•Provide direction & support to the project team.
•Plan and schedule project timelines and track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
•Ensure project deliverables meet company's quality standard and contract requirements; Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
•Oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.
•Minimize exposure and risk on project.
•Develop and implement recovery / mitigation plans for unanticipated eventualities.
•Diligently manage ‘change order' process
•Constantly monitor and report on progress to concerned stakeholders
•Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
•Assist in evaluation and assessment of project KPIs
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
•Develop relationships with client / consultant personnel that foster long term business ties
•Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
•Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
•Approve team members' time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Qualification in Project Management (preferred)
•Experience Required: Proven project management experience of 8-10 yrs in electrical industry. Candidates with a demonstrable track record in overseeing the planning and execution of large integrated projects involving electrical distribution equipment and / or industrial automation systems will be given preference.
•Supervision Required: General instructions will be provided, but is expected to perform independently
•Supervision Exercised: Will require to supervise team-members/sub-contractors and coordinate with client/consultant as necessary.

•Flexibility to relocate to project sites at short notice is desirable.
