The Field Applications Engineer is responsible for providing all aspects of complex customer support for assigned, high sales volume product group. Consults on proper application of products. Assists with the development of new business, lending sales call support and customized product demos. Provides hardware and software training, system design and layout, large system start-up and troubleshooting assistance. Provides training on products for customers and distributors. Provides complex, thorough technical support to sales engineers. Assists sales engineers in the pursuit of new business by providing sales call support. Prepares customer product demos, tailored to a specific application requirement. Troubleshoots complex problems on installed systems. Assists with the start-up of large systems at customer's site. Assists in interfacing products to foreign communications systems and equipment Participates in Trade Shows, Conventions and Seminars.
This position differs from a typical applications engineer as the person will be located in the Ethernet network solutions team, focusing on ethernet communications, design, validation and testing of standard Schneider ethernet implementations. Design, implementation, testing and documentation of Schneider preferred architectures for Ethernet networks. Assisting customers in the design, implementation and commissioning of large ethernet systems. The person will act as a resource for other product groups, marketing and application engineers when ethernet expertise is required.
The ideal candidate must have good ethernet knowledge as well as at least several years of experience in the following:
Citect configuration
Altivar drive configuration
Power Meters and Circuit monitor configuration
Quantum, Premium and M340 PLC configuration and programming
Tesys U and Tesys T configuration
Vijeo Designer
Connexium switches |
