SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing global security solution technical expertise and consulting both within the organization and externally to support key sales opportunities, and to define and develop level three solutions to meet customer needs. It will also define architectures and solutions in detail and quantifying costs/efficiencies of integrated solutions and assist in defining a service offer.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide security solution technical expertise to sales channel management, sales, technical personnel, countries and customers at all sales and delivery points in the life cycle of the building.
• Participate in process to establish new security SI businesses in targeted countries or branches.
• Track trends in latest technology and integration in security industry. Provide inputs of such knowledge to strategic efforts such as security strategy development, potential acquisitions, and product roadmap.
• Work with segment teams to document and standardize processes to implement integrated Level 3 solutions involving security applications and technology
• Document and standardize security applications implementation. Promote those standards among the sales channels through various means including internal white papers, Webex sessions, and company sales channel conferences.
• Serve as the technical expert in the sales process to produce technical proposals and customer presentations and act as a contributor of technical information for proposals or presentations.
• Manage and interface with new product development tracking gaps and closures
• Assist sales from the technical architecture, applications and product perspective
• Other duties may be assigned QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors Degree with technological concentration or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years experience as an application engineer or architecture expert in the security systems business
• Project development and technical solution proposal development experience
• Experience working with IP networks and IP technologies (hardware and software) to develop IP based, integrated solutions
• Security systems experience (access controls, video, networks, software, etc.)
• Experience selling, supporting, or defining services preferred
• Project management experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong technical architecture and applications understanding in security, building technology and IP networks
• Strong understanding of the solution selling process and broad knowledge of customer security needs in multiple segments
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to provide understanding of specific technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others
• Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
• Experience defining technical solutions based on customer business needs, especially technical solutions that have unique vertical market segment application
• Ability to influence and align diverse technical application teams with their own passions for "invented here" products, systems, and solutions, and be able to align them on a common solution that make sense from the view of the customer (and not a compromise or solution designed by committee)
• Ability to define and launch an advanced services offer
• Ability to align execution teams around execution to make Level 3 solutions and advanced services solutions repeatable and consistent
