APC by Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Legal Counsel in West Kingston, RI. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this role is responsible for providing hands on and real time commercial legal support to internal clients.

Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing, drafting, analyzing and negotiating commercial contracts and licensing agreements of varying scope and complexity
• Providing tactical and strategic legal and business support to senior management
• Managing corporate risk profile
• Identifying and coordinating all necessary contract approvals
• Assisting internal litigation group in managing litigation

Requirements:
• JD with minimum of 3-5 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to serve as business partner, counselor and advisor
• Knowledge of direct and indirect sales models
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within specific timeframes
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Team player with good sense of humor
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with limited supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent judgment and discretion required to interpret and apply legal guidelines and company policies/procedures
• Limited travel may be required (less than 10%)

Ability to read/speak Spanish a plus.
