The mission of this position is to focus on the following:

People Management (30%)
All activities related to hiring, on boarding, training, career planning, performance reviews etc
oProvide technical support and guidance to automation technicians when required

•Operations Management (30%)
oSupport business cases on adding resources to address customer coverage
oTimesheets - check & approve
oExpenses - check & approve
oVacation management
oApprove training requests
oEnsure compliance with Safety rules and processes
oSafety Audits
oJob Scheduling
oAssignment of jobs/projects
oAddress customer inquiries and complaints
oAssist with small quotations
oIssue Safety cards and proof of training
oApprove Scope of Work + Special terms and conditions
oEnsure profitability standards are maintained
oCoordinate regular team meetings
oPrepare CAPEX requests

•Business Development (15%)
oWork alongside the IS&S SSE and the Industry Sales team to generate new solutions & service business
oLeverage customer knowledge and experience to recommend new offers to the marketing team

•Project Supervision (15%)
oSupervise projects and record chargeable time as and when applicable

•Execution (10%)
oLead or support on-site execution as and when required
oAttend to customer emergencies as and when required

Education:
Relevant Technical diploma or an Engineering degree

Job Related Experience:
5+ years of strong Industrial Automation experience

•A proven track record in managing or supervising a technical team
•Ability to lead, coach and motivate a technical team
•Proven track record in negotiating maintenance contracts
•Strong grasp of business finance would be an asset
•Organizational skills, individual time management and an ability to manage deadlines effectively
•Ability and willingness to further develop both technically and professionally

Business Understanding:
•Strong understanding of relevant industry sectors (MMM, O&G and WWW) desired
•Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills): High level of organizational skills
•Must have ‘Edison Expert Potential' recognition within the organization
•Must have expertise in Schneider Electric Plant structure Libraries
•Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
•Ability to manage responsibility in an independent manner
•Exceptional attention to detail
•Ability to multi-task and a successful record of on-time project delivery.
•Able to quickly grasp new technologies at a high level
•Ability to manage conflict and liaise with demanding clients
•Strong Client relationship skills
